Does My Property Management Company Qualify?

Rental Kharma works with large property management companies, small property management companies as well as independent landlords and property owners. If you are unsure whether you are renting from a property manager or independent landlord, we can help! If your property manager is not that large or has less than 50 units, we will need to contact the actual property owner to verify your rent. View the Landlord Process!

Initial Verification

First, we ask that you reach out to your property manager(s) and let them know you are signing up for services with us. Ask them if they are willing to help you out! Let them know you are trying to add your rent payment history onto your credit report and that we will be giving them a call! We can verify your rental history with your property managers by sending out an email, a fax message and even over the phone verification. The initial time required of your property manager is typically 5 minutes.

Monthly Updates

Your property manager will need to verify your rent payments each month. It’s free and easy for your property managers to verify your rental payments. They can verify your rent on a monthly basis via fax, a phone call or an email. Monthly updates take about one minute or less of your property manager's time.

What if my Property Manager refuses?

One option is for you, the renter, to request a payment ledger. A payment ledger will provide Rental Kharma with a record of every payment you have made to your property management company, and in some cases, when the property managers refuse due to company policies, a ledger is required for us to proceed. 

If your property manager refuses to participate, or you are unable to acquire a payment ledger or we cannot verify with an online rent payment portal, we do have a 100% Money Back Guarantee if we cannot verify your information.
